Q: Where is SOLID*GOLD located?
A: SOLID*GOLD is the signature band for MusArt Productions Inc. a licensed talent agency & music production company. Their home base is South Florida’s “Treasure & Gold Coast”. The band performs regularly in the “Sunshine State” and their SOLID*GOLD, “Dancing Through the Decades” Variety Show features former American Idols that finished in the top 10 in the national competition in Hollywood. Although SOLID*GOLD is based in Florida - the band can travel internationally as well as anywhere in United States.
SOLID*GOLD primarily performs at exclusive private parties and country clubs, however, the band also schedules public “showcase” performances on a regular basis such as concerts and festivals, so clients can experience the band’s show in a “live setting”. However, please keep in mind they will customize their show for your specific event.
Q: How many members are in SOLID*GOLD?
A: SOLID*GOLD is a family of ultra-professional musicians. Their sound is superb because they showcase the best musicians in the industry and their vocalists sing 3-part harmonies. They customize each show to your unique specifications. For most SOLID*GOLD shows, the band includes at least one female vocalist, one male vocalist, piano/keyboards, guitar, bass and drums. However, the band prefers to showcase a multiple female front line and feature a sax. In addition, they bring a sound & lighting engineer to each show to assure that the performance is illuminated beautifully and the sound quality & volume is perfect for your event. You can also request their SOLID*GOLD Horn Section and SOLID*GOLD Dancers to make your event extra special!
Q: What type of music does the band play?
A: The name says it all, SOLID*GOLD plays SOLID GOLD HITS!
The band plays hits from every musical era to assure that everyone at your party will have a great time! Their corporate mission is to “create memories through the art of musical performance.” SOLID *GOLD performs every style of music including Top 40, Smooth Jazz, Latin, Big Band, Swing, R&B, Disco, Rock, Country and special tributes to pop legends such as Billy Joel & Elton John. * PLEASE NOTE: SOLID*GOLD has coordinated hundreds of special events and they are experts at understanding the type of music your guests will enjoy. The musical director’s job is to select songs that will get your party moving. Every party is different and the most successful parties allow flexibility for the musical director to call songs based on your unique situation.
Q: Will the band learn a special song for my event?
A: SOLID*GOLD is a custom band and will be happy to learn a few special songs for your event. You’ll need to let the band leaders know your special songs at least one month in advance so the band can prepare. The band is made up of professionals and they’ll “read your audience” and call the best solid gold hits to make your party a huge success!
Q: Will SOLID*GOLD help organize my event?
A: Since SOLID*GOLD is the signature band of MusArt Productions Inc., MusArt will assist you with planning your event. The owners have planned hundreds of high-quality special events, concerts and private parties. SOLID*GOLD will be your professional emcee. Having both a professional production company and all-pro band offers you true turn-key customer service. A real value added benefit.
Q: I’ve heard that SOLID*GOLD dresses in costumes like a true Broadway show at their concerts and theater productions. Will they dress in costumes at my private party?
A: SOLID*GOLD is a show band as well as a dance band! The band enjoys dressing in costumes to illustrate the music like an MTV video or Broadway show. They will also conduct dance contests with your guests and offer prizes and party favors.
NOTE: For SOLID*GOLD weddings, the band wears tailor made tuxedos and their female vocalists are dressed in elegant formal attire to compliment your special day.
Q: How long does the band perform and how many breaks do they take?
A: Typically, most parties are four hours in length and the band generally takes four-fifteen minute breaks. During breaks, they play party music CD’s or can bring their SOLID*GOLD DJ to keep your event moving.
Q: What type of events is the band available for?
A: SOLID*GOLD specializes in corporate events, concerts, private parties, conventions, festivals, theater performances, theme parties, society balls, mitzvahs and exclusive weddings. For corporate functions and specialty parties, the band includes party favors and will design custom shows to accommodate your theme.
Q: Can they provide music for a ceremony and/or cocktail hour?
A: SOLID*GOLD’s pianist can provide a variety of classical and traditional wedding music for ceremonies, and will play smooth jazz and pop standards for your cocktail hour. You can also request a guitarist, vocalist or horn player for a bigger sound.
Q: How does the band control the volume?
A: Relax…SOLID*GOLD is an expert at keeping the volume just right. You’ll never have to worry about telling the band to turn the volume down during a formal event. The musical director knows that your guests will want to talk during cocktail and dinner hours and the band’s energy will build as the evening progresses…naturally. They bring a professional sound and lighting engineer to every event who controls the volume of their state-of-the-art sound system.
Q: Do I need to have a meeting with the band coordinator, emcee or production company?
A: Most planning can be done over the phone, by fax and email.
Q: How will the emcee handle the flow of events, introductions and special dances?
A: You can use the Master of Ceremonies Form to outline your event itinerary. The owners of SOLID*GOLD have over 30 years of collective experience working with event coordinators, catering staff, concert and festival producers, photographers, and other vendors so you can be assured the event will run smoothly. They have also emceed hundreds of high-profile special events and functions and know how to run your party.

Simply fill out the event form and be as specific as possible by filling in all the blanks.
This will help the event planners, help you! Their professional staff will evaluate the information and contact you to design a custom show. A SOLID*GOLD representative will then send you an entertainment agreement which clearly spells out the terms and conditions for your engagement. A deposit (50% of the base charge) is due along with the signed agreement to secure the date of your special event.
