Biography

Created in 2005 as the flagship band for MusArt Productions, SOLID*GOLD has emerged to be one of the few bands to perform for Florida’s elite. For three years in a row, they were voted the best band in the Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast by the viewers of WPBF 25 and WFLX 29.

The band features musicians who toured and recorded with Anita Baker, Michael Bolton, The Temptations, Patti Auston, Najee, Hubert Laws, George Duke, Johnathan Butler, Ashford & Simpson, Vanessa Williams, Herbie Mann and Dennis Yost & the Classics IV.

SOLID*GOLD performs regularly for the finest venues in Florida including, The Breakers, The Ritz Carlton and Trump Florida Properties. As a matter of fact, members of SOLID*GOLD have enjoyed being in the house band for Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago Club and entertained his guests including Rod Stewart, Howie Mandel, Al Pacino, Don King, Regis Philbin and Daryl Hall & John Oates, to name a few.

Being the signature band for MusArt Productions, SOLID*GOLD is on the same A-List roster as Lionel Richie, Tony Bennett, Taylor Swift and Andrea Bocelli with the Bill Porter Music Agency.

With over 20 years experience in producing special events, private parties, festivals and concerts, Jim will assist you in designing a “custom show” for your event.

In addition to earning a BFA from the Ohio State University, Jim majored in commercial & fine art at the prestigious Columbus College of Art & Design. He enjoys being SOLID*GOLD’S artistic director, business development director and drummer.

Many of South Florida’s signature special events and music festivals are a direct result of Jim’s creativity and management skills.

Jim is recognized by 'Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide' for Industry Leadership and Achievement in the Performing Arts and Special Events Management Industry.

Originally from New York/New Jersey, Rob has been performing professionally his entire life.

Rob’s former band “Nouveau Riche” was the #1 dance band in the Tri-State area. He also enjoyed being Musical Director for the Jason Craig Orchestra, New York/New Jersey's premier entertainment company.

In addition to being SOLID*GOLD’S piano, keyboardist and lead male vocalist, Rob is the band’s emcee. His charm and charisma will bring your party to life!
